As a UKAS accredited testing laboratory, No 2499, ECL already maintains comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery plans, which have been enhanced over the years.

ECL is actively following the advice and guidance on COVID-19 provided by relevant national and state governments. We have also been working across the company to ensure specific COVID-19 risks have been updated in our business continuity plans.

Our response efforts are a continuous cycle of information sharing and activities with experts to help prevent, contain, and recover from life during and after COVID-19. We are planning for all possible contingencies and taking whatever action is necessary to protect the health and safety of our employees, clients, local communities, and business partners.

Even prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, ECL was and will continue to be a flexible organisation with our staff able to work from home, and at hours to suit their needs. We have enhanced and upgraded our remote working technology, IT systems and cloud-based technologies to allow for the numerous changes to our COVID-19 responsible operations.

Our business continuity plans are robust and, allow us to continue providing our industry-leading level of service with minimal disruption. Our planning and assessment of the situation is under constant review and will be amended as necessary, dependent on how the outbreak develops.

We are extremely proud of our teams still operating across the country, working tirelessly to maintain service, support clients, and continue to deliver projects across all sectors during this very challenging time.

Thankfully due to our team’s unrivaled experience, professionalism, and knowledge, ECL is in a remarkable position to continue to support clients with both immediate and long-term requirements.

The key message from our COVID-19 Policy is that we as a business, now moving into our third decade of operation will remain open and available as usual via email, telephone, and social media and will continue to maintain our site-based operations where possible on a case by case basis with our employees only attending if this can be done in a safe and responsible way.
